Looks really clean and way easier to read .As another review said, this should come with your Spare Air, especially at the price you pay for it (minus one Star). How can you rely on an emergency device and have no clue whether it's leaking or how much air it has in it? This gauge gives me confidence that I'm covered and if you're filling it from a 3300 psi tank and want to be sure that you follow the guidelines for the Spare Air tank (3000 psi) it's easy to monitor how much pressure you're putting into it. Strongly recommended, I wouldn't want to use Spare Air without one. This is just fine and works well. I would have given it a 5*, but this is so fundamental to the Spare Air that it should not be an add on. It's like the proverbial nightmare story of a car dealership selling you a car and asking you if you want tires for it. You need this to be sure Spare Air is properly filled, is maintaingin pressure. Not imperative for actual emergency use (you have what you have on an emergency ascent and knowing doesn't change that), but it is sure nice to know you actually have 3000 psi when you start. It's better than the stock screw gauge this is replacing, but with machine tools what they are, I feel that Spare Air (as a company) could make these gauges all face up when installed. It's a minor annoyance, but it is annoying that my gauge is mostly upside-down when attached to my Spare Air cylinder. For $40 per device, they should do more to fix the incidence of off-alignment gauges.Dial gauge leaks when installed. Ordered a replacement - same thing.Yes I used trident silicone. Brand New 300 N, - with Pin gauge unit hold air.Used o-ring from pin gauge and the dial gauge worked.Since it occurred with two separate dial gauge, I believe it may just be the O-rings are getting old on the dial gauge stock. I contacted spare air hopefully they will send me at least a few o-rings ?IF your gauge leaks - try using the pin gauge o-ring or a new o-ring.I was going to give it one star, only because of the hassle of reordering and returning - and needing to replace o-ring.But decided on two, because the second gauge displays upside down, the first one was on an angle.Gauge o-ring blew 30 minutes after filling spare air to 3000 psi. Luckly had not left dive shop. Replaced o-ring. Used on one fresh water and two open water dives with no more problems. For price should have came with a quality o-ring.This dial is a great little upgrade to your spare air. Easily installed and comes with the o-ring and lubricant. This is really a rip off, it should be included with the spare air.Would you really want to use the spare air as your backup that could save your life and rely on the mechanical gauge that comes with it? No you would not.I bought this but I am not happy about it.I guess you can skip this item and just make sure before you go on a give, connect your spare air to a full tank with about 3000 psi and that would also work as well.
