I’ve only been using this generic filter for my Dyson cool wireless link device about a month but there are few important things to consider is in design and the amounts of carbon and folds vary rather obviously. The regular replacement filters for dyson cool link are twice as heavy and have roughly about a third more folds increasing faster capture of Vic’s for up to a year in moderate poor air quality environments I’ve seen over using them going on 3 years now. The dyson fitted authentic filters have most recently increased a significant amount in the upper 60-70$ range that’s pretty steep after buying the retail 500$Ea cooling towers and There on going cost will continue the towers lifespan. So finding the right quality for the best price is especially important and for me personally I now own 2 towers with double the filters . I decided to buy one one manufacturer filter and one of these cabi clean ones to compare exactly how often they plug, how well the airborne particulates are trapped and I’m going to update my review as I use them this year with my experience in how well the usual allergies and the terrible wildfires air pollution hopeful to find the best fit for yours and my family’s Health in adverse conditions. Sadly I haven’t had the cabi new filter in that long but from a physical standpoint I can report the cabi filter isn’t as full as the heavy carbon in the authentic dyson replacement filter I placed the same time in my second tower. Both towed easily and efficiently absorb well the high pollens going on in Oregon and have helped my family’s asthma and allergies issues improve very well. Which is why I invested in a second tower last year and thankfully they made us all comfortable indoors inspire of the whole west coast covered in a smoke haze we couldn’t escape. As my limited use Thus far I can definitely say my cabi brand dyson tower seems to have to run longer to get the same results of lowered Vocs shown in the graphing and after checking them under a bright light as my genuine onehad to be run longer and seems to be filling up rather faster but it’s still too soon to say that’s an ongoing trend. I chose this cabi filter brand because it had the best feedback for customer support, a unique (for amazon) satisfaction guarantee and for the bottom line cost: 2 cabi filters and still less an extra 10$ Off compared to my 70$ recent dyeing replacemrnt filter is definitely one if the best alternatives I’ve found and trust enough to protect my family. Im anticipating The slight inconvenience of having to replace the cabi more often IS my only concern if you’d even call that one;) but we’re grateful to have this as a great option not only protected by te satisfaction guarantee but Amazon’s willingness to mediate or refund in the absence of any resolution from any sellers really makes the chance you take on this a long term cost effective option I too believe in and paid for full price to make the best fit for my home. So I’ll update over the next few months to be absolutely sure what the big differences if any in comparison to the dyson brand filter cool link tower and the cabi filter in my second coolink dyson tower produce while in the same environment in my master and kids bedroom across from them. TTFN:)Update:It’s been several months since my original comparisons and the wildfire nightmares left my northwest Oregon home surrounded by hazardous 500+ AQI conditions with no escape except for my home’ my two coolink dyson towers and both these filters. I have many breathing and health concerns and my family includes my tiny yorkie sparrow under 7lbs. So concerns from co2 poisoning us and not being able to drive in the toxic air to say Idaho with no shelter and no relief but fighting to shelter in place was all we could do. I used these filters in my original dyson coolink tower and the name brand I purchased off Amazon for my newest same model tweaking different settings to keep my bedroom where we all shared during these crusts to poor air quality as defined by AQI standards of 200-300 particulate materials in great abundance outside. We had to take the windows down and close off all outside air and limit door usage because it would bring in air best described as sitting by a vampire when the wind gusts and smokes you out. Eyes burning, wheezing, lightheadedness day after day worsened to asthma and panic attacks and short term memory loss and confusion especially for my husband who had to go to work in it. He’d even come home and just go flat trying to catch his breath with his only relief our highly filtered bedroom. These filters I hoped would compare obviously and given this highly concentrated example versus the regular monthly uses I’m now sure the dyson name brand works as well as two of these filters for the same 6 month window. The carbon filtering can be closely and tactility in weight vs the outcome watching carefully I had to change the cabi filters at 3 months 6 days and the dyson 6 months 2 weeks longterm. The two week wildfire nightmare showed the ability to keep up with the dyson name brand filter with exact same conditions it was the first to finally get my room up to fair air conditions with poor air outside and after removing both filters at that 2 week 1 day mark trapped enough I had to replace the cabi filter not the dyson that looked 3-4 months old. After this nightmare began to trap folks I struggled to find another air purifier in case the winds started up again and because dyson saved us I purchased the coolink tower TP04 which measures PM 10 and has a glass carbon filter that beats both these now enough I suggest you buy that model and trust the dyson filters do what your family need to survive even in air apocalypse conditions I’m very confident you’ll be grateful for more than you can ever know until you need them.I could not find a legit Dyson filter online that was under 60$. I took a chance and these worked perfect. Have only been using a few weeks, but seems to be doing the job at half the price.Works on Dyson fan. Cheaper than getting name brand. Easy to change. My filter was in need of changing, I woke up each morning congested and nasally, once I changed my filter to these, all of my ailments stopped. Best value filter after spending 300+ for a fan.The filters are working, fit just fine, however they smell terrible. They have a strong chemical smell when the fan is running. I'm hoping this will go away quickly after running the fan for some time. Not sure I will purchase them again, might bite the bullet and go back to buying from Dyson.
