I tested them pretty good, went down a couple of times on a dirt road in a Tiger1200 and these pants saved me and didn't even get damaged! Amazing product! You get what you pay for when it comes to protection, but these are well worth the price. I had $150 kevlar-reinforced cotton pants with knee foam "armor" and thought they were all the protection I'd need until I went down at 50 mph this summer. The seems where I impacted immediately blew out, thankfully I didn't slide much because I flew off the side of the canyon road and tumbled down the mountain into trees and brush which broke my fall with no major injuries. After getting over my PTSD I bought these Dainese pants, which have actual reinforced knee and shin armor. The difference between the two pairs of pants is very obvious when you look at them side by side. These aren't racing leathers but I actually feel protected on the freeway. They look pretty damn good and although they're too hot for peak summer riding, for the rest of the year they're great.I bought and now wear these pants on my daily commute. They are a true European cut, form fitting, but extremely comfortable when you wear the right size. These are NOT overpants. The armor is great, it covers your knees and shins while riding, and the hip protection is an added bonus. Overall the pants are extremely well made, durable and provide excellent protection. They also zip into my Dainese jacket, which I really like.I've worn these in temperatures as high as 95 degrees and as low as 40. The vents are adequate for higher temperatures, but they will be hot if you're not aggressively positioned on your bike. For lower temps, I simply wear a base layer with the vents closed, and that's it.For what I need them for, commuting and long rides in general, these are superb all-around riding pants. But then, I expect high quality from Dainese!Good fit. I have a 33 inch waist. Has the zipper to fit to my Dianese jacket. Not sure how the air flow will be through the smallish knee vents. I like that they have a zippered closing flap to block the air flow when it is cloud in the morning and then can be opened when it warms up. My old Drake pants have a lot more air flow with no flaps to close. I plan to use them on shorter rides that start when it is already hot and use the new ones on longer rides that start in the morning when it is cooler here in the pacific northwest and then warms up in the afternoon. Should be good for trips over the north cascades hi-way (20) to eastern washington that start out cold (40's) and get into the 90's.Near excellent everyday riding pants, stylishly Italian, excellent fit and workmanship. My criticisms are the padding is not removable and often shifts placement with movement. Despite its ventilation, you’ll eventually experience swamp ass because they get hot.GreatGreatGreat for bike riding, offer good ventilation for warm climate.I wanted a pair of Dainese summer pants to zip to the Dainese Air Frame vented jacket for use in the summer months. I went with the same EU 52 sizing as the Dainese Air Frame jacket after downloading sizing charts and I can confirm the pants are true to size. There is ample adjustment for the waist and the zip to jacket feature is very welcome. The flaps on the knees work well when moving but the press buttons that secure the flaps in the open position spoil the otherwise neat look of the pants. The knee and hip CE protectors feels comfortable but they appear to be a little loose in their pockets. These pants are so comfortable that you could easily wear them with a pair of thermals and a leather or heavy textile jacket in the cooler months - just make sure the knee flaps are closed. The only minor negative is the difference in fabric compared to the Dainese Air Frame Textile Jacket but this would only be a consideration if you were after a matched 2 piece set look like the BMW riding gear. These pants are not available in Australian retail stores so I purchased them from Amazon UK. The price was right and the speed of delivery was awesome. Within 1 week, the pants arrived on my doorstep as a well packaged parcel.Highly recommended pants that make a change from the usual Kevlar jeans and the too hot leather pants.Returned due to incorrect sizing. Advertised as EU54/UK44 this is wrong EU54 is infact UK38, no way its going to fit.(Found this out the hard way!) I think they have mixed up chest sizing charts with waist sizing charts as these both differ for the same EU size. This is why I only gave it 3 stars. Have bought Dianese stuff before and quality is fine, as was the quality of these trousers, just a bit of pain having to send back etc. Check online for size equivalents before buying.Very comfy, allows great control of the bikeProduct as describedComfortable to wear but the air pockets don't really do a lot to keep you much cooler.
