I love this compressor. I've owned two other portable compressors in my life so far and this is by far, the best one. BUT everything has it's faults. One problem I have so far with this portable air compressor is it's accuracy. I would set the target pressure, press the trigger to start the device, it would start filling air and after some time, the LCD would indicate it reached set pressure but the pump would still be running. I would then proceed to turn off the device by pressing the trigger again, re-read the current pressure and then come to realize that it hasn't reached the set pressure as yet. Now I can easily get around this by two ways: I can set the target pressure slightly higher to compensate OR I can just keep restarting the device until it reaches target pressure. I've actually had the device function perfectly a few times of using it; meaning the device actually shuts off when the target pressure has been met, but as to why it worked well those few times, IDK. All I'm trying to say is that the device should sensibly work as I expect it to. Not sometimes (and in my case, barely). There is the other problem (which I've seen I few people report here) that the device doesn't even power on at all when the trigger is pressed. I've witnessed the issue and know why it's doing this. It happens if the valve connector is not properly fitted to the tire valve stem, leading it to possibly give a higher reading that what the target pressure is set to and hence triggering the auto-shut-off function. And since the current pressure is actually greater than the target pressure, it doesn't even turn on (start filling air). To clarify this with an example: Say your target pressure is set to 250 kPA, you improperly hook up the device, then the device reads the current pressure as 265 kPA. If you press the trigger button to start filling air, then the device won't even start pumping because current pressure > target pressure. You can get around this by simply re-tightening the valve connector. I think that they should perhaps flash the LCD, make a buzz sound, or anything for that matter, to alert the user that it's the auto-shut-off function taking over so the user doesn't think the device has malfunctioned.I love everything else about this device; the portability, the portable drill-like design and a few other things but the inaccurate pressure and auto-shut-off mechanism needs re-thinking.Bought 3 last year. One of them failed when its internal compressor valve lost the seal and the unit was unable to put air into the tire and unable to stop air coming out of the tire. After some brief email exchanges, the company replaced the unit with a better model.Great product and great customer service.I had a slow leak from one of my tires. I ordered this and it worked great in filling my leaking tire until I was able to get it fixed. This is one of those products that you should keep in your car at all times, like a mini jump start battery. In the last few years the technology is finally getting small enough to not take up too much room in your vehicle storage. I picked this up because I hate digging for change and heading to a gas station just to make sure my tire pressure is correct. It airs up my car tires and my wife loves the "bonus" attachments to air up other household items. Let me just say that I didn't think a unit this small would be powerful enough, or have the battery life to air up my tires.... I was dead wrong. In the package you get the compressor, a rechargeable battery, a lighter socket plug in attachment, 2 air hoses (one for tires and one for other uses), a handful or air adapters (more on that in a minute), a manual, and 4 metal valve caps. This thing is super simple to operate. Plug in the battery or socket attachment, screw on the appropriate hose, set your desired psi on the back panel, attach to your tire, and press the button. From there it's automated and will stop pumping air when it reaches your desired psi. The battery life seems ok, I emptied 2 tires and refilled them and still had most of the battery. The unit is also faster than I expected. (It's still as loud as previous gen air compressors). The attachment to refill your soccer balls, air mattresses, etc have a storage compartment inside the bettery. Nice touch from the engineering team to keep the small parts accounted for. There's even attachments to fill presta valve tires. As long as you keep everything in the case, the unit is remarkably compact and will slide under a seat. I have one minor complaint about the unit that isn't really a deal breaker. The threads you screw the hose on to are slightly recessed in the body of the pump in a way that makes it difficult to get a good grip to reach the knurling on the hose. Maybe they designed it this way to protect the internal threading? A work around would have been to extend the knurling on the hose just a little so far and old fingers can get a good purchase. I was still able to attach and detach the hose no problem. I am pretty pleased with this device and I'm planning to get another one for my wife's car next.I have a car with small wheels constantly deflating. This is awesome when you're out of coins or don't want look for gas stations. Sellers are awesome. Wish all are nice and responsive like them.Is ok but no perfectThis is a really handy device. It comes in a very good carry case which protects it well. Everything fits into the case. The device is well designed. It has a light so you can see what you're doing on a dark night. It comes with various attachments for different tasks and also two options for power. It will recharge via USB into the battery pack or you can plug it straight into the cigarette lighter socket in a car. It is fast to inflate, not too noisy and will read out in 4 scales on the clear display. Excellent!Used this item the day it arrived and it became quite hot by the time it has inflated the first tyre. About a minute into the 2nd tyre the car charger power supply stopped working completely. I tried the battery but this had very little charge so I put it on charge. After 2 hours it had only charged enough for literally seconds of use so I have now returned it with 1.5 tyres inflated. Really disappointed with the quality if this item.Previous tyre inflators with the push clip style connection have always become difficult to keep connected over time.Wanted one with the screw on connector and this seemed to fit the bill.It feels very well made, is easy to set up and works perfectly. Just set the required pressure, press the button and leave it.There are a range of adapters for every occasion.Required one that could also inflate caravan tyres to 54 psi and this does that with ease.Haven't needed to use the cigarette lighter connection yet as the battery has provided enough charge for all 6 tyres (car and caravan).I've had a few of the cigarette-lighter powered compressors before, and while they got the job done, they've always been a bit of a faff with the cable and not always very accurate.I drive a lot with work, and not only do I like the reassurance that my tyres are in good shape (I check the pressures weekly, and this also gives me a minute to get up close and check for damage), I also like that I'm getting as much life out of my tyres as I can - they're not cheap! - and also getting the best fuel efficiency I can too.I bought this specific product for the single reason that it ALSO has the cable to plug in to the cigarette lighter... Not many of the others on Amazon have this extra. I didn't fancy needing to use this in an emergency situation only to find the battery has gone flat - again its a reassurance thing, but having been stuck on the side of a motorway on a winters night before I'm pleased to have this.I checked the pressures across both cars, and then went back around with a handheld pressure gauge. I was really pleasantly surprised to see the readings were all within half a PSI of what I wanted.... I've had worse results from petrol station inflators, and paid a pound a go for the pleasure! The kit is supplied in a nice zip up case which now lives in the boot permanently. Hard to say how long it'll last, but it all feels completely solid, and working a pound a week saved at the petrol station, it'll have paid for itself in just over a year.Very pleased - its rare that a product is even better than you hoped for these days!I am so pleased I bought this as it makes light work of inflating tyres and is much easier and quicker to use than a foot pump or a track pump. You set the tyre pressure required on the dial at the back of the inflator, press the trigger and off it goes. You can read the initial pressure and watch it increase till it hits the target, when it stops automatically. The dial has a backlight and the inflator has a front facing light so you can use it in the dark.It looks and feels like a cordless drill and has a selection of nozzles to fit a range of uses, from balloons and footballs to bicycle and car tyres.I especially like it for pumping up my bicycle tyres as they need doing more often than car tyres and it has connectors for both Schrader and Presta type valves.NB Be sure to connect the hose to the inflator before connecting it to a Schrader (car type) valve to avoid the air leaking out.
