A big thank you to whomever saw that these recordings survived into the digital age. What we have on this CD is two complete broadcasts; one from April 1964 and the other from August. Each program is about a half-hour long and is complete with advertisements for the local garage/filling station and Bozo's Burgers (call him ahead a'time and he'll have it ready for ya'.)The music is real fun and the guys are clearly having a good time playing it. The instrumentation is guitar, pedal steel, drums and bass. I'm not sure if it's stereo. It kinda' doesn't matter. It is, however, run through a thick reverb unit. When the guys are talking between numbers, you can really hear that reverb spring working hard.I think when the year is over 8 months from now, this will endure as a highlight of my musical discoveries in 2013.As for the packaging, it does come in a clear sleeve, not a jewel case or digipak. But it's a think, supple sleeve and should last a long time. I uploaded an image of the actual product I received. Hopefully it's still here for you to see.
