...ok, when i first bought this, there was only one review and it was more aimed at the fact that you only get one of these in the order...not 6 like it says in the heading... so they didn't rate it well.... but I thought i would try it out because it was one of the more reasonably priced air pots on amazon and the fact that no one had said it was crap because of its function. So this review is more aimed at answering questions about it's function.I got it via amazon prime for $31.00 and that included 2 day delivery. I did find them cheaper at various sites, but by the time you included shipping, etc, it usually ended up costing more.... ok, so what did i think of it?... first it's appearance, its black plastic with plastic "stripe" around the base, (see picture), its fairly tall at just over 16" and looks like your standard issue air pot on top. Ok, now for the meat and potatoes.... How good does it work?....i hate it when people say things like "it keeps it warm for a long time"... i feel like a kid again asking my parents when we will get there, "...in a little while".... my watch doesn't have a "long time" o'clock or a "little while" o'clock on it, so i thought i would do a basic time/temp experiment on it (note the word basic, not a high speed, scientific, ruling out all variables type experiment,).... Basically i brewed a 12 cup pot of coffee and poured it into the pot, to take the temp measurement, i used one of those small cooking thermometers and would squirt out one pump worth of fluid into a thin disposable plastic cup, (i used the thin plastic cup instead of a ceramic cup because i didn't want to loose heat to the fluid heating up the ceramic cup and possibly throwing off my values) and i took a measurement roughly every hour or so...(whenever i happened to wander past the dispenser)...oh, also, the temperature of the room it was kept in was about 74*f the whole time ...but this was the result:164*f @ initial, 162*f @ 1.5 hours, 160*f @ 3.5 hours, 154*f @ 5 hours, 146*f @ 7 hours, 134*f @ 8 hours, 120*f @ 11 hours and finally the next morning 90*f @ 23 hours....Overall, for the price, it did great job and kept it hot for a good amount of time, (again, try to find that on your watch)... So...how long of a time can you enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee out of it? well, i guess it just depends on how "hot" is acceptable for you, but if you look at the time/temp listed, it should give you a basic idea...oh, and i didn't try the reverse and see how long it would keep liquids cold, .... i only use it to keep my coffee hot....anyway hope this helps...
