This was the first time I ventured out from the brand-name membrane replacement cartridge, which also opened me up to the possibility of upgrading from a 50 GDP to a 75 GDP RO Membrane. From my limited me-search, we should be able to use the 75 GDP membrane without sacrificing water quality. Higher flow rates might compromise filtration - unless you only use the RO to polish reliably safe water. (Well water is subject to changes in the environment.) It's been two weeks, and the flow/recovery is stronger, while the crisp, clear quality of the water has remained the same. I will probably complete a post-RO water analysis to verify that I'm not missing something, but aesthetically, I am very pleased with the product, delivery, and especially the value.
