...ok, when i first bought this, there was only one review and it was more aimed at the fact that you only get one of these in the order...not 6 like it says in the heading... so they didn't rate it well.... but I thought i would try it out because it was one of the more reasonably priced air pots on amazon and the fact that no one had said it was crap because of its function. So this review is more aimed at answering questions about it's function.I got it via amazon prime for $31.00 and that included 2 day delivery. I did find them cheaper at various sites, but by the time you included shipping, etc, it usually ended up costing more.... ok, so what did i think of it?... first it's appearance, its black plastic with plastic "stripe" around the base, (see picture), its fairly tall at just over 16" and looks like your standard issue air pot on top. Ok, now for the meat and potatoes.... How good does it work?....i hate it when people say things like "it keeps it warm for a long time"... i feel like a kid again asking my parents when we will get there, "...in a little while".... my watch doesn't have a "long time" o'clock or a "little while" o'clock on it, so i thought i would do a basic time/temp experiment on it (note the word basic, not a high speed, scientific, ruling out all variables type experiment,).... Basically i brewed a 12 cup pot of coffee and poured it into the pot, to take the temp measurement, i used one of those small cooking thermometers and would squirt out one pump worth of fluid into a thin disposable plastic cup, (i used the thin plastic cup instead of a ceramic cup because i didn't want to loose heat to the fluid heating up the ceramic cup and possibly throwing off my values) and i took a measurement roughly every hour or so...(whenever i happened to wander past the dispenser)...oh, also, the temperature of the room it was kept in was about 74*f the whole time ...but this was the result:164*f @ initial, 162*f @ 1.5 hours, 160*f @ 3.5 hours, 154*f @ 5 hours, 146*f @ 7 hours, 134*f @ 8 hours, 120*f @ 11 hours and finally the next morning 90*f @ 23 hours....Overall, for the price, it did great job and kept it hot for a good amount of time, (again, try to find that on your watch)... So...how long of a time can you enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee out of it? well, i guess it just depends on how "hot" is acceptable for you, but if you look at the time/temp listed, it should give you a basic idea...oh, and i didn't try the reverse and see how long it would keep liquids cold, .... i only use it to keep my coffee hot....anyway hope this helps...These things are made great... We've used them for tea and coffee in our church heading area for well over a decade with no failures... Until I dropped one. They have a thermal glass lining that is fragile and doesn't like being dropped.... So the only other downside beside durability when dropped is their cost ...This is the second coffee dispenser we've bought. Shipping was good on both and they are glass lined which seem to be best for holding heat. I do wish replacement parts were available on Amazon, too. 1st airport pot is 5 years old and used daily. The pump lid is what has failed over time. There are restaurant equipment outlets selling lids for $6-7 but shipping is $12 and not sure if it will fit our pot. Also, prices "float", but that's life. First pot $33, 2nd $49, although right after delivery back to $31-32. Do recommend this item-hot coffee all morning-less hot as day goes/levels drop.I wanted a glass lined air pot that keeps coffee hot for several hours. I would have preferred to have the lever handle but that model has been discontinued, unfortunately. All previous air pots I have owned had a metal stem attached to the pump; this model has a plastic stem. I am pleased with this air pot and recommend for hot beverages.Excellent Product. I had one since last 18 years we were using daily to keep icy cold water, but it broke, so we replaced it with a new one. It is the most efficient & effective thermos in many other brands available, to keep cold stuff cold and hot stuff hot for 24 hours. Easy to use and clean. Good looking. Only complain is, Amazon do not use good packaging to deliver it, the Glass Bottle inside is delicate, and it brakes by bad handling while en-route. I ordered, it came broken, I had to return and order again. Again it came broken. Amazon is good at returns, but it is frustrating for the customers. Apparently, some body at Amazon has to look into it that if something has so much breakage record, that particular thing need to be packed in better way, like using Bubble Wrap type cushioning! It is also better for Amazon's bottom line.-RanpariaThis server kept my spiced cider warm for hours, even outside while tailgating. The only thing that would have given it five stars would be if it was easier to clean. You can only rinse it out because you cannot get your hand inside to scrub it. Maybe a long handled brush would work. I might have to dedicate this to cider only though, since it may always smell like it now, but hey, there are worse things. It worked out great for me for pitch ins. It is leak proof and very well insulated. The first requirement for me is that it should remain hot (not hot to warm but hot) for a good 7 hours. This does this and maybe even 8 hours. By evening it is warm and needs to be nuked slightly. That is more than I am asking for and this is the main reason for the five stars. Yes, it is a little expensive but you get what you pay for so I can see paying the price. Also, the amount of coffee that it holds is more than our 12 cup coffee maker makes. It holds 74 oz and the capacity in the pot is 60 oz for the next 7 hours and as I said will remain completely hot. I also like the air pump design. Treat it well, don't submerge it and I think it will last a long time.I bought this to keep coffee at my desk at work. I could not be more pleased with this product. I accidentally tested this product by making coffee last Saturday, and forgetting about it until Sunday morning. You will think I am making this up, but I swear to you I am not. The coffee that I made at 10:30 Saturday morning was still drinkable warm at 8 o'clock Sunday morning when I remembered it. It was not steaming hot by any means, but it was not even luke warm or cool. I could not believe that it kept that coffee warm for that length of time. Very impressed. The lining of the thermos is flaking off after one use.
