Wix Air Filter 42188 - Premium Engine Air Filter for Cars & Trucks - Improves Engine Performance & Fuel Efficiency

I've tried a few different air filter brands for my 2004 Honda CR-V over the years. I used to think that the best one was the Fram Extra Guard, however WIX has changed my mind. In comparison, the WIX has way more pleats, and each one looks deeper too. The Fram seems like it might be better built because it has a metal mesh on both sides of the paper filter element, unlike this WIX which only has the metal on the inside like most other brands. However, what I've seen is that the outer metal mesh on the Fram rusts over time, I guess from moisture in the air that's being sucked through it. I've always known that WIX is a top tier brand of filters, but it wasn't until I tried this air filter for my CR-V that the difference became very obviously apparent. It's definitely worth the extra couple of bucks.
