They fit perfectly on my air 3. I wouldn't say they are quieter though. They seem to be the same noise level with the same performance as the originals. The only difference I can tell is the original ones have an orange rubber tip. These are solid plastic. Also the bottom mount seems to have a little extra plastic from the molding process. They do feel a bit thinner and more flexible than the originals but it doesn't seem to affect the performance.
