Top line: A light, comfy necklace for your sweaty sports days.Good: I bought this necklace for long, shirtless runs. I like having a necklace on long runs without other distractions (e.g., music/headphones), but metal chains are too heavy/chafing for longer sessions. This Phiten necklace (17" version) is perfect. It's light, doesn't absorb too much sweat, and has enough bounce and swing to satisfy my idiosyncrasies. IMO, the 20" would be too long for sporting use, YMMV.Bad: I have durability concerns, though they have not come to fruition yet. Rather than a single, woven band, the necklace is actually a long string, sewn together at two ends (see picture). Since you have to stretch it a bit over your head, it's only a matter of time until it may weaken and tear. This potential weakness is actually hidden by a small plastic cover that slides over it.Other: I've shied away from the potentially balancing, magical, spiritual, etc. powers of this necklace because that's not why I bought it. While I'm not sure it's helped, I can honestly say that I don't think it's *hurt" my running performance any since I got it, so it's been a worthwhile purchase.
