My car is a sports car from the 1990s so there isn't a whole lot of real estate going on in the dashboard.I am somebody who is constantly using their phone, especially as a GPS, since I just moved to a new city. I was looking for a product that would allow me to easily attach and detach my phone from a mounted, stable position. I considered getting a suction cup mount for my windshield, or an adhesive clamp for the top of the dashboard.I thought I was out of luck because most products were either out of my price range, or had too low of reviews for me to consider trying.Then the LAX Orbit popped up in the search and I knew i'd made the right choice. I was immediately drawn by the low price and high reviews.I ordered it immediately and I must say it is a simple, yet very effective gadget. It comes with a magnetic plate that you attach to the inside of your phone case or to the back of your phone directly (if you're one of those ballsy people who doesn't choose to utilize a case) and then the mount itself, which clamps inside your air vents.For the price, I was not expecting much at all. I didn't think the magnets would even hold up. Color me surprised when both of my expectations were not only surpassed, but smashed.The Orbit is a very high-quality mount and the magnets are so strong. As somebody who enjoys a bit of spirited driving from a Japanese sports car, I can rest easy knowing that no matter how sideways I get, or how much acceleration the car achieves, the phone will not slide or detach from the mount. The clips to the A/C vents are strongly-made, and in spite of my car vents being thin plastic, it has done no damage to my car whatsoever.This mount might not be for everybody, but for most people i'm sure this would get the job done (and then some.)Good job, LAX!
