This item is competitively priced at £5.00 and comes complete with a refill and a battery to power the unit.It is simple to set up and is ready to go within minutes. The unit itself can last up to 70 days set at its lowest setting, but due to the issue we are trying to address, I have set it on the highest setting (low/medium/high options) and will turn it down when it is coming to terms with the problem. Refills are cheap to purchase and are offered in a range of fragrances.In essence, please excuse the pun, is that this item masks the odour which you wish to overpower. In our situation, a member of our household has to wear boots for much of his active day. After a 12-15 hour day, this item has a challenge of overcome his problem however good his personal hygiene is. The smell is pervasive and needs to be tackled in a way that simple ventilation alone does not tackle.So far it does appear to be working. It isn't perfect and we don't like the fact that we disperse chemicals into the air on a regular basis; in fact we switch it off before and when he is occupying his bedroom and we take other measures in regard to his boots.Its a big challenge but so far this item seems up to the job.
