Air conditioning cleaning Computer and circuit boards Air conditioning cleaning Blow dust away from anywhere
First and foremost - don't give this to kids as an unsupervised toy. It's got a nice amount of force to it, and blasting an eyeball with it would probably be damaging.I've had my eye on one of these for quite some time, and now that I'm out of compressed air cans, I decided to get one of these instead of buying more cans. I'm glad I did, because honestly I hate having to track unnecessary consumables in life. I'd just rather have a single tool that sits in a spot and is always there, rather than a bunch of cans to keep stocked. The good: * Super impressive force for a little battery powered widget. Works great blowing dry sand off of porch steps, and with the brush nozzle's encouragement it also makes quick work of wet sand. * Since it's battery powered, that little voice in the back of your head saying "don't waste the compressed air can" can finally sit down and be quiet. Blow dog fur around all you want with this, just recharge it afterwards. * Arrived pre-charged, with enough battery to perform the compulsory shenanigans of chasing the kids and the dogs. The quirks: * The motor ramps up over the course of a second or two. This takes a tiny bit of getting used to vs compressed air cans. But not having to replace those cans is a tradeoff I will happily accept. * It comes with two nozzle attachments - one fine point, one with a brush. The fine-point one seats loosely, and can easily not be noticed when it gets blown off. The brushed attachment held well, though. There's a place right in front of the trigger where the other attachment can be stored, but unless the user is a child, this will get knocked off when you use the trigger.Suggestions for next model: * Charge connector is micro-usb. If treated carefully, this will serve well for a long time. But USB-C would be far less susceptible to damage from abuse. * Add a retention lug or threading to the nozzle attachment point so that one doesn't lose the tips. * Perhaps consider making the fine-point nozzle an attachment to the brush nozzle? The diameter almost lines up already, and that'd make it harder to lose.
